Tumblr is no longer tumblr. At least it’s no longer the tumblr I remember it to be. Remember when tumblr used to be the “secret” website. Remeber when we could post whatever we wanted. Remember when followers didn’t matter and there was no such thing as tumblr famous. Remember when…Oh right you probably don’t since more than half of the users on this site just made an account within the past 6 months. Tumblr has become more of a popularity contest than a blogging website. Now it’s like the whole point of tumblr is to become tumblr famous and not to blog. Tumblr has lost all its originality. Everything that made tumblr such a fun, unique, and creative website is gone. It’s so hard to find good blogs these days since all these blogs are the same. Clothes, food, pictures of good looking people, people smoking, streetlights, weed. Occasionally I’ll find a good humor blog or a blog where someone actually writes but those blogs are so hard to come by now. I remember, if you were to say tumblr in public people would ignore you and nobody would really care. But try doing that now, all the little kids are going to be like “ZOMG TUMBLR OH YEEEEEAH!!!!”. And you know what the stupidest thing on this site is? Tumblr fame. That’s all people care about. And how do you achieve tumblr fame? By being attractive. I swear this site’s turning into myspace. Just watch, pretty soon there’s going to be adds everywhere and pop-ups everytime we log in. I’m giving tumblr one more year before everyone abandons this place just like myspace.
I’m sorry but, this is retarded. I started in 2009, and i’m still here, and I have no problem with the “new people” all you have to do, is NOT FOLLOW THEM, instead of complaining, it is the fucking internet, it was bound to happen.
